In the forenoon we gave the slaves bananas and in the afternoon we cleaned the ‘tween decks and the quarter deck and smoked them with incense and juniper, 2  sailing vessels with three or more masts; with a square rigged foremast and fore-and-aft rigged main, mizzen and any other mastsbarquentines came from above-river. During the night the weather was good, till morning.
