On board a slave ship

The transatlantic trade in enslaved Africans took place between the 16th and 19th century. Enslaved Africans were transported across the Atlantic Ocean and sold as forced laborers to work on the plantations.

What did such a voyage involve? The crew of the ship The Unity testify about the events on board. First traveling with exchange goods to Africa, then with enslaved Africans to the Caribbean and finally back home with a ship hold loaded with the harvest of plantations.
