The 2nd of August, Cornelis de Hond, a sailor born in Willemstad, was nauseous, had an infectious disease amongst others, and a severe headache. I gave him pills (Prescription 10) and a mixture (Prescription 24) of which he had to swallow a spoonful every two hours. As he was very thirsty, I boiled him a barley drink (Prescription 14). He remained nauseous, hence I gave him a pulverized emetic. After this the vomiting and the seizures stopped. He was recovered on the 14th of September and took his shift again.
