In the morning it was stormy weather with thunder, lightning and rain from the E to ESE. At dawn the weather cleared and at sunrise we fired a shot for the negroes. In the forenoon it was still and rainy and we received a canoe on board. However, there was no trade. In the afternoon we raised the anchor and set sail but we had to drop anchor again due to a calm and the current which ran west. Throughout the night we had a SSW and SSE stormy wind, thunder and lightning and little rain till morning.
