We had a northern gentle breeze in the morning and forenoon and good weather. We dried some sails, took in a canoe of water and bought two boy slaves, No. 10 and 11. The fore hatchway was raised. We found a barrel there which had burst and emptied, and which was marked ‘VOC’. In the afternoon there was a WSW slight breeze and a misty sky. Similar weather in the evening and the same wind throughout the night with good weather till morning.
