In the morning there was a SW moderate topgallant sail breeze and good weather. At the start of the morning watch we raised anchor and set sail. We saw another ship which was also lying with us near the coast. At noon Grand JackCôte d'IvoireJeaque Lahou was the NNE of us. We received a canoe on board but did not trade. In the afternoon we had a SSW moderate topgallant sail breeze and good weather. At sundown we dropped anchor at 23 1 fathom = 6 feet (170 cm) fathoms of stiff ground with JacquevilleCôte d'IvoireJeaque Jeaque to the N by W of us. Today a female slave gave birth. Throughout the night good weather, till morning.
