In the morning the wind was a gentle topgallant sail breeze from SW. At the start of the forenoon a gentle to average top gallant sail breeze came from WSW. We raised anchor, set sail and fired 5 shots before the fort. We found out that the rope of our anchor was damaged and broken, so we cut two feet of rope to put that in the mooring bower. We headed for S and by the afternoon we had Princess TownGhanaFort Hollandia E½S of us. Later during the afternoon watch and dog watches the wind came from WSW. We assembled two barrels. The skies were stormy. With the change of the first watch we anchored at 25  1 fathom = 6 feet (170cm)fathoms of sticky ground. Later at night we had a weak breeze until the morning.
