The wind was a single To reduce the surface area exposed to the wind.reefed top sail breeze from S by E in the morning and forenoon. Clouded skies drifted overhead. We cleaned on the ‘tween decks and on the quarterdeck and fumigated it with juniper and incense. At noon our estimated compound course and covered distance of the last 24 hours was W by S 28 miles, with an estimated north latitude of 0º39′, longitude 11º33′ and we found the actual north latitude to be 0º35′. Like before, we set sail for W by E. Later in the afternoon, evening and at night a single reefed topsail breeze came from S by E. Clouds drifted overhead until the morning.
