At noon our estimated compound course and covered distance of the last 24 hours was WSW1/3W 10½ miles, with an estimated north latitude of 1º3’, longitude 13º23’ and we found the actual north latitude to be 1º1’. We set sail for W by S. In the afternoon, the evening and at night we had a topgallant sail to single-reefed topsail breeze from S by E. Clouds drifted overhead until the morning.
