The wind was a weak breeze from S to S by E in the morning and the forenoon. We had a squally sky. At noon our estimated compound course and covered distance of the last 24 hours was W by S 15½ miles with an estimated north latitude of 2º11’ , longitude 17º54’. We found ourselves to be at north latitude 2º6’. During the afternoon, evening and night we had a weak reefed topsail breeze from S to S by E and S by W. Thick clouds drifted overhead until the morning.
