The wind was a topgallant sail and topsail breeze from SSW to S by E in the morning. The sky was clouded. At the beginning of the forenoon we came about WSW. At noon our estimated compound course and covered distance of the last 24 hours was SSW 4 miles, with an estimated latitude of 3º8’ , longitude 19º46’ and a roughly found latitude of 3º11’. Later in the evening and at night we had a topsail breeze, sometimes stiff reefed, from S to S by E. Thick clouds drifted overhead until the morning.
