We had a SSW to NE wind in the morning with a stormy sky and light airs. In the forenoon we had the same and overall good weather. We steered SE by E with a SW wind, we stowed away the bow anchor and the buoy ropes on the anchor. During the first watch there were light airs and after 6 glasses had run out we measured the water depth at 33 1 fathom = 6 feet (170 cm) fathoms. We steered SE. During the middle watch we kept a depth of 33 to 32 fathoms. We had both light airs and a stormy wind SW to NW wind till morning.
