It was stormy in the morning and forenoon. At the start of the forenoon we had a SSE trade wind with thunder and lightning, rain and a stiff breeze. We saw a lot of swirling currents and a lot of debris drifting. There was a calm again. At noon our estimated compound course and covered distance of the last twenty hours was SE 4 miles coming down to the estimated north latitude of 7º11’ longitude 2º50’. In the afternoon, evening and night there was a gentle SE to SW wind, but it was mostly calm, still swirling currents. We saw a large piece of wood and a lot of debris drifting, and had good weather till morning.
