At noon our estimated course and covered distance of the last twenty-four hours was SE 10 miles at an estimated north latitude of 8°32’, longitude 360°10’. The actual north latitude was 8°33’. In the afternoon there were light SW airs and good weather. We hung the main and fore yard in slings and unraveled the strands. Gentle SW airs at night, good weather and thunder and lightning till morning.
