We had a reefed topsail breeze throughout the entire morning and early afternoon from a NE by N direction with clouds are passing overhead. At noon our estimated compound course and covered distance of the last twenty-four hour was SW by Z 37 miles, getting on the estimated north latitude of 32°30′, longitude 355°35′. We found the north latitude to be 32°30′. We steered S by W. In the afternoon watch and dog watches there was a reefed topsail ENE breeze and good weather. At night we had an ENE, also E and then again ENE top and foresail breeze with a cloudy sky; rain showers and wind till morning.
