In the morning and forenoon we had a fine breeze from NE by E to NE direction and a clouded sky. At noon our estimated compound course and covered distance of the last twenty-four hours was SW36 miles, getting on the estimated north latitude of 36°52′, longitude 35°1′ we found the north latitude to be 36°49′ so we headed in a SW by S direction. In the afternoon, evening and night we had a reefed topsail NE to ENE breeze and an overcast sky till morning.
