First mate’s logbook

We had good weather throughout the day with a fresh WSW breeze. We bought a tusk and a few Pieces of elephant’s tusksscrivellors. Today an English Ships which were usually as long as a ship-of-the-line and were square-rigged on all three masts (full rigged), but were faster and with lighter armament, used for patrolling and escort frigate anchored beside us. During the evening and night there was a gentle SW breeze and good weather till morning.
