With high tide in the morning we had 9 feet of water. We started drifting, took plummet line back in and drifted to 14½ feet. Here we anchored with quiet water a little bit away from the island and the hole. During the forenoon we had a gentle breeze from SSE and we lifted our sails. Around 10 o’clock the low tide made our ship drift before the stream anchor. Therefore we dropped the mooring power, but even with 2 anchors we continued to drift until we got stuck. Later in the afternoon we were set afloat again with the high tide, so we raised anchors and sailed on. The wind came from NE and we had good weather. With high water and around 7 o’clock we anchored near the watch-post and found ourselves at 3½ fathoms. Later at night we had good weather until the morning.
