In the morning and forenoon we had good weather, but in the afternoon rain with thunder and lightning. The carpenters managed to finish caulking the outer starboard side and made a start with the port side and the stern of the ship. They also finished painting the inside of the captain’s cabin. Good weather throughout the night till morning.
