In the morning we had a SW by SSW gentle breeze. At the start of the morning watch we raised anchor and set sail. At sunrise BeyinGhanaFort Apollonia was located to the E by S of us at an estimated 2 ½ miles. In the forenoon there was a SW gentle topgallant sail breeze. We put 3 barrels of salt water into the bottom layer and sprayed the between decks and the quarterdeck with lime suds. Throughout the evening and night we had a SW moderate topgallant sail breeze and good weather till morning. Our captain went with the boat to AximFort St. Antony, Ghana Axim.
