In the morning the breeze decreased. The see was high and the weather was good at forenoon. The breeze continued to decrease. At noon our estimated compound course and sailed distance of the last twenty-four hours was SE by S¼S 8½ miles, which comes down to the estimated 43°9′ north latitude and 349°33′ longitude. During the afternoon watch and dog watch, the wind was a double reefed topsail breeze to mainsail breeze coming from the WNW to SSW.
