In the morning and forenoon there was an average topgallant sail breeze and also a topsail ENE breeze with squally skies, heavy rains and a high sea. At noon our estimated compound course and sailed distance of the last twenty-four hours was NW by N 10½ miles, getting on the estimated north latitude of 9º30′, longitude 319º28′. In the afternoon evening and at night the wind came from NE, ENE and E by N and was weak and average and also an gentle topgallant sail breeze. We had good weather till morning.
