In the morning and forenoon the wind was a stiff Sail of which the surface area has been reduced two times in order to make the surface area smaller.double reefed topsail breeze with drizzling rain coming from the SSW. We to reefTo reduce the surface area exposed to the wind.reefed the topsails and removed the large topgallant yard. At noon our estimated compound course and sailed distance of the last twenty-four hours was NE by E 27 ½ miles, which comes down to the estimated 35°52′ North latitude and 335°41′ longitude. During the afternoon watch and the dog watches the wind was a double reefed topsail breeze coming from the SSW. The sky was cloudy with drizzling rain. During the night the wind was a stiff double reefed topsail breeze coming from the SSW to SW. The weather was good. We also had a drifting squally sky till morning.
