In the morning, with sunrise, we fired 7 shots and sent the boat out to shore with blunderbusses to shoot with throughout the day, we took the rudder off the ship in order to attach thimbles to the hooks. We fired 11 shots for a wedding in the afternoon, and in the evening, at sundown, we fired 7 shots. In the evening and at night we had good weather till morning.
