In the morning the wind was a WSW to SW gentle breeze and it was rainy. In the forenoon we had an increasing breeze from the SW. We put out the sheet anchor and took down the lower yards. In the afternoon, dog and first watch we had a stiff breeze or storm, and in the dog watches the small-bower dragged until it was situated equal to the best-bower, where it remained. In the middle watch we had a stiff breeze from the SW with drizzle until the morning.
