In the morning and forenoon there was a reefed topsail breeze coming from the NW by NNE. We To reduce the surface area exposed to the wind.reefed the topsails when there was a drizzling rain. At noon our estimated compound course and sailed distance of the last twenty-four hours was ENE 24 miles, which comes down to the estimated 29°58′ north latitude and 323°29′ longitude. During the afternoon watch and the dog watches we had a fresh reefed topsail breeze coming from the NNE and an overcast sky. During the night the breeze decreased to a calm. The weather remained good until morning.
