In the morning and forenoon there was a fresh topsail breeze with drifting clouds. At noon our estimated compound course and sailed distance of the last twenty-four hours was NE 27 miles, which comes down the estimated 27°26′ north latitude, 317°59′ longitude. We found the actual north latitude to be 27°14′. During the afternoon watch and dog watches the wind was a topsail breeze and we had good weather. We applied resin to the yards and the blocks. During the night, there was a clouded with a topsail and topgallant sail breeze from the SSW to SW, until the next morning.
