In the morning and forenoon there was an E double-reefed topsail breeze with good weather. We tacked around the S and put up the lower, topmast and bow sprits shrouds at starboard. At noon we tacked around the N and took a reef from the top sails. Our estimated compound course and sailed distance of the last twenty-four hours was N 10½ miles, getting on the estimated north latitude of 17°45’, longitude 316°42’ with a found north latitude of 17°38’. In the afternoon we untied the ropes from the anchors and the buoy rope. The wind came from E and E by N and was a weak double-reefed topsail breeze. During the dog watches the wind was a stiff Sail of which the surface area has been reduced two times in order to make the surface area smaller.double-reefed topsail breeze and we put the second to reefTo reduce the surface area exposed to the wind.reef in the top sails.
