In the morning and the forenoon the wind was a topsail breeze from N. The sky was clouded. At noon our estimated compound course and covered distance of the last 24 hours was S½W 1 mile coming down to the estimated north latitude of 2º47’, longitude the same as before. We found the actual north latitude to be 2º58’. During the afternoon and dog watches a weak reefed topsail breeze came from S to SSW. Thick clouds drifted overhead and we had rain from time to time.
