In the morning at the beginning of the morning watch we came about SE. The wind which came from SSW to SW by S was a topgallant sail breeze. Thick clouds drifted overhead. In the forenoon it was the same as before. At noon our estimated compound course and covered distance of the last 24 hours was WSW½S 2 miles. We arrive at the estimated latitude of 3º56’ and longitude 19º13’ and we found our latitude to be 3º56’. We decided to use a fourth part salt water to cook the groats and extend them. During the afternoon and dog watches the wind was a S to SW by S gentle and average topgallant sail breeze and the weather was good. At night a gentle topgallant sail breeze came from SW by S to SW by W. Thick clouds drifted overhead. We took ¼ salt water to cook the groats with. The weather stayed good until the morning.
