There were light N airs in the morning and forenoon. At noon our estimated course and covered distance of the last twenty-four hours was SE 9 ½ miles at an estimated north latitude of 10°8′ and Longitude 359°6′. The actual north latitude was 10°3′. We saw a lot of dirt adrift and strong swirling currents. In the afternoon, evening and night we had some more N to NNE light airs and then a dead calm till morning.
